In a huge tract of land west of the developed state park, this 6 mile trail traverses an area of open grassland, palmetto thickets, live oak canopies and pine plantations. Grey fox, swamp rabbits and other wildlife have been observed. The area can be wet during rainy seasons.
"Exit SR 84 exit off of I-75 and follow the signs to White Springs, then to Stephen Foster Park. Located in Stephen Foster State Park, park at the trailhead near the carillon tower.
